I agree to maintain the confidentiality of any information and knowledge about Edwards and Kennedy, their associates, associated businesses, clients, prospective clients, and vendors that I may have. I agree to not disclose any information or knowledge about the aforementioned parties that I have gained without their written consent. Additionally, this responsibility shall remain in place even after my employment with Edwards and Kennedy has ceased, and also if I didn’t actually work for them. It shall remain in place if their recruiting services successfully placed me in an organization, and also, if their recruiting services were unsuccessful in placing me in an organization. I am acknowledging that by signing this document that there is no context in which I will share information or knowledge about the parties listed in this paragraph, whether detailed in this paragraph or not. 

I give full consent to Edwards and Kennedy to conduct reference checks on my employment history and background. Additionally, any person who has provided background and employment information to Edwards and Kennedy about me has my consent to share information regarding my background and employment history with Edwards and Kennedy.

I give full consent to Edwards and Kennedy to share the following information about me to their clients, prospective clients, client representatives, and anyone else who may assist Edwards Kennedy with helping me find an employer : my criminal background check results, my resume, information procured about me from my background and employment references, information procured from independent background checks about me, and any other information Edwards and Kennedy has obtained about me that may be used to help me gain employment through their services.

I agree to allow Edwards and Kennedy to share parts of my information that I have provided them with to their vendors for the purpose of them providing their services. An example of this would be them sharing information about me with a payroll service provider to process payroll. Another example of this would be them storing my information with an IT service provider who hosts their services online. These are just two examples, and I understand they are not exhaustive in nature. In addition, I acknowledge that any information I have provided to Edwards and Kennedy may not always be stored inside of Canada. 

I agree that I will not accept any offer of employment from a client in which Edwards and Kennedy have promoted my employment candidacy unless I have provided written notification to Edwards and Kennedy beforehand. I understand that accepting an offer of employment from an Edwards and Kennedy client without notifying Edwards and Kennedy first would be a breach of the agreement between me and Edwards and Kennedy. This behavior would also be identified as a breach of contract by Edwards and Kennedy’s client too. The action of accepting an offer of employment from an Edwards and Kennedy client without notifying Edwards and Kennedy first will result in a placement fee that is typically thousands of dollars being levied to the Edwards and Kennedy client in which I have accepted an offer from.

I will disclose in writing to the Edwards and Kennedy recruiter if I am presently working with another recruiting agency prior to the initiation of this agreement with Edwards and Kennedy. Additionally, I will disclose in writing to Edwards and Kennedy if I accept representation from another recruiting agency during the lifetime of this agreement.

I acknowledge that I am legally eligible to work in Canada. Additionally, I agree to provide documentation to verify this if needed to Edwards and Kennedy. 

If I receive a job offer through a client that Edwards and Kennedy has referred me to, I acknowledge that Edwards and Kennedy is not responsible for any actions, processes, or behaviors engaged by their client toward me. For example, they bear no responsibility for their client’s job offer, interviews, accuracy of job offering, communications, methods of screening, work environment, decisions, or any other action engaged by their client toward me or anyone else.

I agree that when I accept an offer of employment from a client of Edwards and Kennedy that I will reconcile my understanding of the job’s responsibilities and its compensation with the offer of employment presented to me by their client. Moreover, I agree that if any part of the position Edwards and Kennedy’s client has offered to me (including financial remuneration of any variety and/or perks) is absent from the contract, I will not accept it. 

I will acknowledge to Edwards and Kennedy before they have promoted my employment candidacy any personal, financial, or other interests that could influence my professional responsibilities or decision-making processes at one of their clients or prospective clients. 

In order to maintain the professional reputation of Edwards and Kennedy I agree to notify them if my employment candidacy has been presented to the same client as theirs by another agency who represented me both past and present.
